Panelist - 300yrs of rum production

With a solid chemistry background and her « nose », Karine developed her experience in spirits tasting and in the making of agricole rhum from Martinique.

In 2011, she created the 54 aromas from the aroma book and kit “Le Nez du Whisky” published by Edition Jean Lenoir.

In September 2014, she joined the Martinique Rhum world as Quality Manager at the Distillerie du Simon and Rhum HSE. This experience helped her to build her knowledge and know-how about all AOC Martinique production specificities, follow up on its quality and develop innovative blends in association with the Cellar Master.

In January 2017, Karine joins the J.M. Distillery as Rhum Quality Manager, where she takes responsibility for the ageing cellars, their organization and the development of new rhum products.

In parallel, she takes part in the spirits education of the company’s sales and marketing teams in all of the French West Indies, and is a member of the jury for the AOC Martinique appellation.
