With nearly two decades of bartending experience, including behind two of the most notable rum-focused bars in the world, Chicago’s Three Dots & a Dash and Lost Lake, Adrienne stepped out from behind the bar to manage Maison Ferrand’s On-Premise business in the Midwest US for 6 years. Today, she travels throughout the Americas to advocate & educate on the ever-growing spectrum of rums from Maison Ferrand, West Indies Rum Distillery, and National Rums of Jamaica. Adrienne devotes special attention to the diversity of sugarcane distillate, from cane-to-bottle, and now takes her passion for the history, culture, and future of rum wherever glasses are raised. Alexandre Gabriel is the owner and Master Blender of Maison Ferrand and Stade’s West Indies Rum Distillery, as well as a co-owner of National Rums of Jamaica (NRJ). A pioneer in the world of craft spirits, he is a history buff passionate about preserving traditional techniques; an innovator who can’t resist pushing boundaries; and an independent entrepreneur who thrives on the kinship of fellow spirits enthusiasts. Since 1989, surrounded by a dynamic team, Alexandre has dedicated himself to making superb spirits that express savoir-faire, terroir and time. The brands he created – Canerock, Planteray and Stade’s Rums, Citadelle Gin, Ferrand Cognac and Dry Curaçao – have earned over 1000 acclaimed industry awards. Alexandre was named “Rum World Best Master Blender” at the 2012 Golden Barrel awards in London, and won the prestigious “Outstanding Contribution to Distilling” award from the American Distilling Institute in 2017, the first time that this award was bestowed on an individual, and not a distillery. In 2023, The Ultimate Awards named Alexandre Gabriel “Most Admirable Rum CEO” in recognition of his contributions to the rum-making craft. Among Alexandre’s standout creations are the patented progressive infusion process he developed for Citadelle Gin and the world’s first floating spirits cellar, Barge 166. Both inventions reflect his passion for new possibilities in the world of artisanal spirits. He is just as dedicated to sharing his knowledge and love for the craft, since he is so inspired by the skill and savoir-faire of his predecessors. Brett Steigerwaldt is the head distiller for Lyon Rum in St Michaels, Maryland, and the education committee chair for the Maryland Distillers Guild. He is committed to exploring how distilling can solve real world problems and strengthen communities, such as his work with the 100% nonprofit Rosalie Bay Distillery, and the Dominica Sea Turtle Conservation Organization (DomSetCo). He holds a BSc/MSc in mechanical engineering and an MSc in brewing and distilling, where he investigated novel fermentation techniques to create organoleptically complex rums with minimal additional process complexity. He has authored several articles for industry publications (Distiller Magazine, Artisan Spirit Magazine) covering fermentation research and troubleshooting techniques, and has also been featured on industry podcasts (The Modern Bar Cart Podcast, The Rumcast, Spirits & Distilling Podcast). He tirelessly advocates for openness and knowledge sharing amongst craft spirits producers so that together, we can elevate the perception of American spirits worldwide.

Chris, a seasoned veteran of the alcohol beverage industry, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his clients at XAL Consulting. With over 15+ years of experience, Chris's journey began at Brown-Forman, where he excelled as a Field Market Manager for South Florida before advancing to the role of Brand Ambassador for Herradura Tequila. To broaden his industry knowledge, Chris spent a year with Breakthru Beverage as an Account Development Specialist, where he pivoted to the wine sector. He then embraced the challenge of building a brand from scratch as the National Sales and Marketing Director for SoloContigo Wines, a boutique Argentine winery. Here, he honed his skills in importer selection, strategic planning, website development, and distribution across the US and Canada. Most recently, Chris contributed his talents to Turquoise Life Beverages, a prominent wine and spirits importer based in New York City. He successfully managed the Southeast Market and later became the National Account Manager for On-Premise, further diversifying his expertise. He is the founder of Belgrade Bartending School, founder of Swizzle Rum Bar & Drinkery, co-founder of Delirio Tiki Bar by Swizzle and was the managing partner of the Miami outpost of Employees Only, and, a speakeasy-style cocktail bar in South Beach widely recognized for its rum program and experiential approach to hospitality. Danilo is the author of Barkeep, a modern bartending anthology published in two editions: The Guide to Becoming a Professional Bartender and The Art of Mixology, Bar & Cocktails. The books are used globally as both professional training tools and philosophical explorations of bar culture, blending technical mastery with storytelling, history, and creativity. Mr. Cruz has deep expertise in quota alcohol beverage license transactions and is highly experienced in conducting and managing all due diligence matters associated with this asset class. He advises clients across all three tiers of the alcohol industry on regulatory compliance issues relating to the sale, service, and marketing of alcoholic beverages. With 16 years of experience in the spirits industry, he brings deep technical and operational expertise in rum blending, distillation, fermentation, and quality control. He spent 9.5 years at Bacardi, including 5.5 years as a Rum Blender and Distiller in India, 2 years as Site Head of Bottling Operations in India, and 2 years as Fermentation Process Owner in Puerto Rico. Prior to Bacardi, he gained 5 years of experience as a Blender with an Indian local company and 1 year as a Laboratory Analyst at Radico Khaitan. He was trained by renowned rum blenders Jose A. Gomez and Troy Arquiza, and holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Fermentation and Alcohol Technology.

Matthew Crompton is the VP – North America for CGA by NIQ and is responsible for the implementation of CGA’s on premise services in US, Canada and LATAM regions. Since joining CGA Strategy in January 2010, Matthew has risen through the CGA by NIQ ranks becoming an expert in all things On Premise. Matthew has managed and provided consultancy for some of the largest Bev Al manufacturers across Europe including Diageo, Anheuser Busch and William Grant & Sons. In January 2014, Matthew became part of the joint venture between CGA and Nielsen which has helped bring the first ever truly robust on premise measurement service to the US. Matthew comes to the US, having also helped launch services in other territories such as France and Germany. Matthew now heads up the North America team, providing first-class insight into an often perceived dark market. Matthew is originally from the north of England and has embraced American life at every opportunity since relocating to Chicago in August 2015.

Marie King is an internationally recognized rum and tropical cocktail specialist and the Beverage Director for 23 Restaurant Services, overseeing beverage programs for Don the Beachcomber and Morgan’s Cove. She is also the former Beverage Director of Tonga Hut, the oldest tiki bar in Los Angeles, where she helped shape its modern cocktail identity. In 2012, Marie founded the Rum Rhum Club, a long-running gathering of rum enthusiasts dedicated to tasting, education, and in-depth discussion of rum, cocktails, and the global spirits industry, featuring leading experts from around the world. With more than 30 years of experience in hospitality, Marie has been instrumental in developing influential cocktail programs, including launching the first beverage program at Huntington Beach Don the Beachcomber, creating menus for both Tonga Hut locations, and consulting on Livorno, Italy’s first tiki bar at The Surfer Joe Diner. Born and raised in premiere the city of America, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Otto Flores is a professional expertise in the areas of business, management and productivity who from a young age developed an interest in the spirits and its production, immersing himself in the world of rum, the national beverage par excellence of the Dominican Republic. Guided by experienced rum masters, he learned about this distilled beverage, and appetite for continuous development led him to join the ranks of rum connoisseurs. Thanks to his sensory training, his understanding of rum's characteristics, and his attention to all aspects of this beverage, he became a brand ambassador and key member of the Ron Barceló marketing management team. Ricardo March brings more than two decades of experience in the global wine and spirits industry, with a career dedicated to building and scaling premium brands across international markets. He began his journey in 1996 at Allied Domecq, followed by roles at RNDC and the co-founding of Giowine in 1999. From 2001 to 2020, he served as Vice President of Sales North America at Varela Imports, where he led the expansion and growth of a strong spirits portfolio throughout the United States. In parallel, since 2000, he has overseen sales and marketing for Beni di Batasiolo in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean, reinforcing his reputation as a strategic leader within the beverage alcohol sector. In 2024, Ricardo and his wife, Diana Espinosa March, launched Bacan Guaro, a super-premium aguardiente created to redefine the category on a global scale.
