Next year’s Miami Rum Congress will be held on 9-11 February at the Miami Beach Convention Center and The Gates Hotel South Beach.

Park Street University, the free alcohol education programme launched by technology-enabled solutions company Park Street in 2019, has hosted nearly 100 seminars around the world since its creation.

On the first day of Miami Rum Congress, Park Street University will host two seminars, including one titled ‘Crafting a Retail Presence for your Rum Brand’.

It will feature three speakers: Sarah Nagel Sisisky, director of supplier development, Park Street Companies; Gabriel Urrutia of FIU Chaplin School of Hospitality; and Fletcher Tate, regional sales and service business partner, Total Wine.

The second seminar will focus on finding the right route to market, hosted by Scott Rosenbaum, search manager – North America, Distill Ventures; Danielle Zighelboim, co-founder and CEO, Coconut Cartel; and Alexander Kong, commercial manager – spirits, Worthy Park Estate.

“Rum is an exciting category with a lot of potential in the US and we are thrilled to be participating in the Miami Rum Congress,” said Emily Pennington, senior manager of content and marketing at Park Street University.

“We look forward to hosting several accomplished speakers and educating emerging rum brands on finding the right route to market and establishing a strong retail presence.”

According to the event’s organiser, The Rum Lab, Miami is the largest consumer market for the rum category in the US.

The Rum Lab recently revealed its festival schedule for next year, including its first show in Europe.
